More about Faceted Bezel Gold Capped

This is a vintage c. 1960's stainless steel with a 14K yellow gold shell, Rolex Oyster Perpetual 1025. It has an integral Oyster link bracelet with gold plated center links, and an acrylic crystal. The bezel has the "Pyramid-faceted" pattern, a screw-down winding crown, and a solid screw-down case back, inside of which is engraved "MONTRES ROLEX S.A. – GENEVA SWITZERLAND – PATENTED – STAINLESS STEEL BACK – 1025." The 34mm diameter solid three-body case, downturned screwed lugs, and angled bezel are polished. The dial is silver with applied faceted baton hour markers and luminous dot indices around a perimeter minute/second hand. It has faceted gold dauphine hands with slim luminous inserts, and a center sweep second hand. It has a Certified Official Superlative Chronometer (COSC) rating, and the 11mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Rolex Oyster Perpetual 1025 has a mechanical automatic self-winding Rolex caliber 1570 movement. It's rhodium plated, with oeil de perdrix embellishment, and it's constructed with 26 jewels, a shock absorber device, and a straight-line lever escapement. It includes a monometallic balance that's adjusted to temperatures and 5 positions, and a self-compensating frees-sprung Breguet balance spring. The Rolex Oyster Perpetual 1025 was introduced in 1960, and it was produced until 1969.
