More about Chronofighter RAC SS Chronograph / Deployant

This is a stainless steel Graham 2CRBS Chronofighter R.A.C. It has a three-body Polished Stainless Steel Case and curved lugs, and a hand-stitched leather strap with a steel deployant buckle. The convex bezel is fixed, and there is a left-hand fast-action start/stop trigger and reset pusher for the chronograph. There is a sapphire crystal display case back with 8 screws and an embossed logo, and a domed sapphire crystal dial with anti-reflective coating on both faces. The dial is matte black with applied steel luminous Arabic hour markers at 12 and 6 o'clock, luminous modern hands, and luminous dots at the remaining hours. The seconds and 30-minute registers also have black faces with silver rings. It's water resistant to 100 meters/330 feet, and it has a 42-hour power reserve at full wind. It has a 30-minute column wheel chronograph, and the date aperture is at 7 o'clock. Included is the COSC certificate. The automatic Graham calibre 1722 movement is rhodium-plated with fausses cotes embellishment. It's constructed with 30 jewels, a straight-line lever escapement, and a shock absorber mechanism. It has a monometallic balance adjusted for heat, cold, and 5 positions, a self-compensating flat balance spring, and a micrometer regulator. The case, dial, and movement are all signed. George Graham was the first 18th century English clockmaker to be elected to the Royal society, commissioned by the Greenwich Royal Observatory to make the master clock for astronomers. He was renowned during the enlightenment for his innovations and technical expertise. The contemporary Graham watch company creates luxury watches for enthusiasts of horology and the mechanical arts.
