This is a vintage 1948 18K pink gold and stainless steel Patek Philippe 544. It has an alligator leather strap with a stainless steel tang buckle, and a plexiglass crystal. It has a solid snap-on case back. The 34mm diameter solid three-body case, hooded lugs, and angled bezel have never been polished. The original rare dial is pink with applied rose gold Roman numerals and baton hour markers. It has the original pink gold feuille hands, and an outer minute track. There is a subsidiary constant seconds dial at the 6 o'clock position, and the 8.9mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Patek Philippe 544 has a mechanical manual winding Patek Philippe caliber 12-120 movement that's nickel-finished. It's constructed with 18 jewels, a straight-line lever escapement, and a swan neck regulator. The reference 544 was launched in approximately 1940, at the beginning of World War II. It remained in production until c. 1948.
