More about Perpetual Calendar SS / SS

This is a stainless steel Alain Silberstein Perpetual Calendar. It has an A. Silberstein stainless steel link bracelet with a double deployant clasp, and a scratch resistant anti-reflective sapphire crystal. The knurled revolving uni-directional bezel has luminous white dot, triangular, and red baton index marker graduations. The screw-down exhibition sapphire display case back exhibits a white off-center subsidiary dial mounted on the back plate that registers the months for four years in black Arabic numerals, and the leap year in red. The 40mm diameter solid two-body case, straight lugs, triangular winding crown with white enamel inlay, and bezel are polished/brushed. The dial is white with luminous round and baton hour index markers, an outer minute/second track, and an inner circle with red crescent indicator hand for the dates. The hour hand is a red triangle, and the minute hand is a blue baton. The central sweep seconds hand is yellow and serpentine-shaped. It's water resistant to 200 meters/660 feet. The exclusive movement is based on caliber Eta 2892-2, made by Svend Andersen. There is a yellow circle with dot at 5 o'clock, and a crescent moon symbol at 7 o'clock. The 17mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. The mechanical automatic self-winding Svend Anderson caliber 2892 movement is rhodium plated, with oeil-de-perdrix embellishment. It's constructed with 21 jewels, a straight-line lever escapement, a monometallic balance that's adjusted for heat and cold, and a shock absorber mechanism. It includes a self-compensating flat balance spring, a micrometer regulator, a gilt brass rotor with an A. Silberstein design, and a hacking seconds mechanism. This watch was produced in a small edition of 100 examples.
