This is a vintage c. 1940's stainless steel Minerva Oversized Mono-pusher Chronograph. It has a leather strap with a stainless steel tang buckle, and an acrylic crystal. There is a solid hinged snap-down half-hunter case back. The 45.5mm diameter solid three-body case, downturned lugs, and angled bezel are polished/brushed. The original silver dial has painted black Arabic numeral hour markers inside a 60-second minute/one-fifth second track with black Arabic numerals every five minutes. It has blued baton hands, and a red center sweep chronograph hand. Around the perimeter is a tachymeter to 1000 uph. There are twin recessed subsidiary dials, including a small constant seconds dial at 3 o'clock, and a 30-minute totalizer at 9 o'clock. The 14mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. The mechanical manual winding caliber 17 1/2''' movement is rhodium plated. It's constructed with 17 jewels, a straight-line lever escapement, and a monometallic balance. It includes a self-compensating Breguet balance-spring, and an index regulator.
