This is a vintage c. 1940's stainless steel Patek Philippe Tank. It has a snakeskin strap with a steel Patek Philippe tang buckle, and a domed curved faceted acrylic crystal. It has a solid snap-on case back, and the 20mm x 34mm solid case, art deco stepped bezel and lugs are polished. The dial is ivory with painted square hour index markers, applied baton indices at 3 and 9 o'clock, and an applied Arabic numeral 12. It has an outer railway-style minute track, and polished steel epee hands. There is a constant seconds subsidiary dial at the 6 o'clock position. The 10.5mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. The mechanical manual winding Patek Philippe caliber 9-90a movement is rhodium plated and marked "PXP" for Patek Philippe. It's constructed with 18 jewels, a monometallic balance adjusted for isochronism and 5 positions, a straight-line lever escapement, and a fast/slow regulator dial. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 21,600 vph (3 Hz).
