This Harry Winston is Zalium™ alloy with black DLC "Diamond Like Carbon" coating, Project Z6 Black Edition, reference OCEMAL44ZZ004. It has a black rubber strap with a black Zalium DLC triple deployant folding clasp, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. There is a screw-down exhibition sapphire display case back secured with 8 screws, engraved "Harry Winston," the serial number and the edition number out of 300. It has a protected winding crown that sets the time and the alarm, which is activated with a repeater-style rectangular trigger pushbutton on the case band at 4 o'clock. The alarm hammer is visible through an aperture: it's fixed to the Zalium case to show the alarm is ringing and to enhance crisp sound transmission. The 44mm diameter solid three-body case, downturned lugs, and fixed angled bezel are black satin DLC. The complex dial is constructed in 18 different layers; it's essentially black with five finishes, including Côtes de Genève, black brushed, vertically brushed, blued steel, and satin. There are blue and red accents and an off-centered time dial with a day/night indicator at 11 o'clock. It has black hands with luminous blue inserts, luminous white Arabic numeral hour markers, and luminous baton indices. There is a minute scale around the outer rim. Overlapping is an equal-size off-centered alarm dial with the "Shuriken" revolving constant seconds indicator, and a 24-hour alarm dial at 4 o'clock, both with red arrow markers. A day/night indicator for the alarm is at 2 o'clock, and there is an on/off indicator for the alarm. It's water resistant to 100 meters/330 feet, and the 14mm thick case, movement, and dial are signed. The mechanical manual winding Harry Winston caliber HW1010 movement is hand finished with Côtes de Genève embellishment, including the hand-polished bridges. It's constructed with 45 jewels, 340 components, a shock absorber device, and a straight-line lever escapement. It has twin barrels and when the movement is fully wound, the alarm lasts for approximately 20 seconds. Both barrels can be simultaneously wound, and every part is chamfered for beauty. 28,800 vph (4 Hz), Harry Winston launched the Project Z timepieces in 2004. This Project Z6 Black Edition, reference OCEMAL44ZZ004, was introduced in 2015. The edition is only 300 examples. Zalium is a Zirconium-based ultra-light metal used in aeronautical engineering.
