More about Jolus Vintage Manual Chronograph 18K Pink Gold

This is an 18k rose gold c. 1940's Jolus Manual Wind Chronograph, Landeron caliber 149. It has a shell cordovan strap, with a rose gold tang buckle, and an acrylic crystal. There is a solid snap-on case back engraved with the serial number, with an inner soft-iron gilt anti-magnetic liner. It has rectangular chronograph pushbuttons, and the 37mm diameter solid three-body case, downturned lugs, and angled flat bezel are polished/brushed. The original dial is gold-tinted, with rose gold Alpha hands, gold painted Arabic numeral hour markers, and a 60-minute/one-fifth-second track with Arabic numerals every five minutes. Around the perimeter is a tachymeter scale to 1000 UPH. There is a blued center sweep chronograph hand, and twin guilloche gold subsidiary dials, including a small constant seconds register at the 9 o'clock position, and a 30-minute sub dial at 3 o'clock. The 11mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed.

The mechanical manual winding Landeron caliber 149 chronograph movement is Rhodium plated. It's constructed with 17 jewels, a straight-line lever escapement, and a monometallic balance. It includes a self-compensating flat balance spring, and an index regulator.
