This is a ceramic Tudor Fastrider Black Shield, reference 42000CR. It has a black leather strap with red accent stitching and a PVD-coated steel double deployant clasp. There is a scratch resistant sapphire crystal with a red seal, and a solid screw-down case back engraved with "Tudor – Suiss – Geneve." The chronograph has direct-action PVD-treated pushers and there is a black PVD-coated screw-down winding crown engraved with the TUDOR logo. The 42mm diameter solid black ceramic three-body monobloc case, straight lugs, and fixed ceramic bezel with engraved tachymetric scale to 400 UPH are bead-blasted matte black. The dial is black with black hands with luminous red inserts, a red center sweep chronograph hand, and applied luminous red baton hour indicators. There is a steel inclined perimeter with a black minute/one-fifth second scale, and there is a circular date window aperture (also in red) between 4 and 5 o'clock. There is a rapid date corrector with a PVD shield on the case at 9 o’clock (requiring the use of the included Tudor tool). There are three black steel-rimmed subsidiary dials with red indicator hands, including a 30-minute register at 3 o'clock, a 12-hour totalizer at 6 o'clock, and a
small constant seconds counter at 9 o'clock.
It has a 46-Hour power reserve at full wind, and it's water resistant to 150 meters/500 feet. The 14.5mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. The mechanical automatic self-winding ETA caliber 7753 movement is rhodium plated. It's constructed with 27 jewels, a shock absorber device, and a straight-line lever escapement. It includes a monometallic balance, a self-compensating flat balance spring, and a micrometer regulator. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4Hz). The Tudor Fastrider Black Shield, reference 42000CR, debuted at the Basel World exhibition in 2013.
