This is a vintage c. 1950 18k rose gold Eberhard Extra-Fort Monopusher 1600. It has a shell cordovan strap with an 18K rose gold tang buckle, and an acrylic crystal. There are rectangular chronograph pushers (the lower pusher is actually a slide button that pauses the chronograph, and a pull out winding crown. It has the original silver dial that has aged to a light gold, gold dauphine hands, and a center chronograph sweep second hand around a 60-minute/one-fifth seconds track with Arabic numerals every fine minutes. There is a perimeter blue tachymeter scale to 1000 UPH. It has a solid snap-on case back, with the inner case hand jeweled and hallmarked. The 39mm diameter solid three-body case, downturned lugs, and angled bezel are polished/brushed. It has applied faceted gold baton hour markers and gold Arabic numerals at 6 and 12 o'clock. There is a recessed brushed gold subsidiary dial at 9 o'clock for running seconds, and a recessed brushed gold 30-minute totalizer is at 3 o'clock. The 11.5mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed.
This Eberhard Extra-Fort Monopusher 1600 has a mechanical manual winding Eberhard caliber 1600/Valjoux 65 movement. It's rhodium-plated and it's constructed with 17 jewels, a shock absorber device, and a straight-line lever escapement. It includes a monometallic balance with screws, a self-compensating flat balance spring, and a micrometer regulator. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 18,000 vph (2.5Hz).
