More about Vintage Milgauss Silver Dial SS / SS

This is a vintage 1970 stainless steel Rolex Milgauss, reference 1019. It has a stainless steel oyster (7836) link bracelet, and an acrylic crystal. It has a solid screw-down anti-magnetic case back and a soft iron gilt metal antimagnetic protecting cap that serves as a Faraday cage. There is a screw-down crown. The 37mm diameter solid three-body case, curved lugs, bracelet, and angled bezel are polished/brushed. The original satine silver linen dial has a soft iron base, faceted steel baton index hour markers with black inlay, and luminous dots on an outer minute/second track. There are steel and black tapered baton hands, and a second hand with red triangle tip. It's a Certified Official Swiss Chronometer (COSC), and the 13.5mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. The mechanical automatic self-winding Rolex caliber 1580 movement, is rhodium-plated. It's constructed with 26 jewels, a shock absorber device, and a straight-line lever escapement. It includes a monometallic balance that's adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism, and 5 positions. There is a self-compensating free-sprung white metal Breguet balance spring, and Microstella regulating screws.
