This is a stainless steel Blancpain Villeret Complete Calendar Moon Phase, reference 6553-1127A-55. It has an alligator strap with a stainless steel Blancpain tang buckle, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. There is solid snap-on signed case back, a pull out winding crown, and four correctors on the case for the date functions – 2 on either side. The 34mm diameter solid three-body case, downturned lugs, and stepped bezel are polished. The dial is silver with applied steel Roman numeral hour markers around the perimeter with steel feuille hands, and a third hand with a crescent pointer that indicates the date. The moon phase sub dial is above the 6 o'clock position, and there are twin aperture windows at 12 o'clock for the day-of-the-week and the month. It has a 100-hour power reserve at full wind, and it's water resistant to 30 meters/100 feet. The 8.5mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. The mechanical automatic self-winding Blancpain caliber 6553 movement is rhodium-plated, with fausses cotes embellishment. It's constructed with 29 jewels, 261 components, a shock absorber device, and a straight-line lever escapement. It includes a monometallic balance that's adjusted to 5 positions, and a self-compensating flat balance spring.
