More about Cartier 2435 Platinum Tonneau Cintree Manual Wind 1990s RARE
This is a platinum Cartier Tonneau Cintree 2435. It has an alligator leather strap with an 18k white gold deployment buckle, and a scratch resistant bombé sapphire crystal. There is a beaded winding crown set with a cabochon sapphire, and the solid case back is secured with 4 screws in the case band, and it's engraved "CARTIER." The 46mm by 26mm solid two-body tonneau-shaped case, straight lugs with gold screwed 18k white gold bars with platinum heads are polished. The dial is engine-turned Sunray/wave guilloche matte silver with black radial Roman numeral hour markers, blued steel épée hands, and an inner minute track. The 7.8mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed.
This Cartier Platinum Tonneau Cintree 2435 has a mechanical manual winding Cartier caliber 78/1 movement. It's Rhodium-plated, with fausses cotes embellishment, and it's constructed with 17 jewels, a shock absorber device, and a straight-line lever escapement. It includes a monometallic balance, and a self-compensating flat balance-spring.
This Cartier Platinum Tonneau Cintree 2435 was produced in the 1990's, and is nearly identical to the 1920's Cintree except for the new movement.
