Universal Geneve 881101/04 Exotic Blue Dial Tri Compax, 881101 04, 88110104, extremly rare and is the exotic "Paul Newman" of all the Universal Geneve lines, stainless steel case on a generic "beads of rice" bracelet, case retains its original lines and possibly unpolished caliber 281 movement with day, date and month indicator, moonphase, chronograph,, original blue / green / turquoise dial is in fantastic condition with nicely aged markers, luminous material on hands and dial appear to be original to the watch, white hands gives very nice contrast to the dial, bezel insert has faded into a dark blue which contrasts the dial very well, raised grey inner bezel, diameter: 36mm, thickness: 12mm, Excellent Condition with European Watch Company Pouch and 6 Month Warranty.

This is an extremely rare vintage c. 1960's stainless steel Universal Geneve Exotic Blue Dial Tri Compax 881101/04. It has a generic stainless steel "beads of rice" bracelet, and a domed acrylic crystal. It has round chronograph push buttons, and a solid screw-down case back, inside of which is engine turned and engraved "STAINLESS STEEL – SWISS," and the Universal Geneve shield with a hallmark. The 36mm diameter solid three-body case, gently curved lugs, and flat dark blue (faded from black) graduated bezel with a tachymeter to 500 UPH, are polished/brushed. The case is original and sharp and seems unpolished. The original dial is turquoise blue with applied faceted steel baton hour markers with luminous inserts. It has white tapered hands with luminous inserts, a red center sweep chronograph seconds hand, and there is a white perimeter minute/one-fifth second scale on a raised grey inner bezel. There are three turquoise subsidiary dials with white markings and hands, including a running seconds register at 9 o'clock, a 12-hour chronograph totalizer at 6 o'clock, a 30-minute indicator at 3 o'clock, and there is a combination moon phase dial with radial date numerals at 12 o'clock. There are rectangular day and month aperture windows with red letters at 10 and 2 o'clock respectively. The 12mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Universal Geneve Exotic Dial Tri Compax 181101/04 has a mechanical manual winding Universal Geneve caliber 281 movement. It's rhodium plated and it's constructed with 17 jewels, a shock absorber device, and a straight-line lever escapement. It includes a monometallic balance that's adjusted for 5 positions, a blued steel Breguet balance spring, and an index regulator.
