This is a stainless steel Girard Perregaux Rallye Monte Carlo 1976, reference 49540-11-611-FK6A. It has a Girard Perregaux Vulcanized natural rubber strap with a signed stainless steel double deployant buckle, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. There is a screw-down solid case back secured with 7 screws, and engraved with "Girard Perregaux – Rallye Monte Carlo 1976 – Munari & Maiga - 1st Overall Lancia Stratos," the reference number, and edition number of 1000 examples. It has a screw-down winding crown and round chronograph pushbuttons. The 40mm diameter solid three-body case, downturned lugs, and flat angled bezel are polished/brushed. The dial is black with white SuperLuminova steel sword hands, a red center sweep chronograph hand, and three white-rimmed subsidiary dials. There are red-outlined luminous Arabic numeral hour markers with luminous dots around a white minute/seconds track. Around the perimeter is a tachymeter to 1000 UPH. There is a tricolor red, green, and white 30-minute register at 9 o'clock (honoring the Italian flag for Lancia) with a luminous yellow indicator hand. There is a date aperture window between 4 and 5 o'clock, and at 6 o'clock is a 12-hour sub dial also with a yellow indicator. There is a constant seconds register at the 3 o'clock position, with a luminous red hand. It has a 48-hour power reserve, and it's water resistant to 30 meters/100 feet. The 13.5mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. The mechanical automatic self-winding Girard Perregaux caliber 19CO movement is rhodium plated. It's constructed with 62 jewels, a shock absorber device, and a straight-line lever escapement. It includes a monometallic balance, a self-compensating flat balance spring, and the mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4Hz). This Girard Perregaux Rallye Monte Carlo 1976, reference 49540-11-611-FK6A, was produced in a limited edition of 1000 pieces in 2006.
