More about Patek Philippe Reference No. 5396/1G-010
This is an 18K white gold Patek Philippe Calatrava Annual Calendar 5396/1G-010. The three-body, polished solid case has a wide, sloped, flat bezel, and a snap-on case back with a display sapphire crystal. The dial is silver with applied white gold baton hour index markers, a dot outer minute track, and feuille hands with a sweep seconds hand. It has a subsidiary 24-hour dial and square windows for the day and month, with a third aperture at 6 o'clock for the date underneath the moon phase dial. It's water resistant
The Patek Philippe automatic Calibre 324 S QA LU 24H movement is rhodium-plated with fausses cotes embellishment, and the stamp of the Patek Philippe seal. It's constructed with 34 jewels, a straight-line lever escapement, and the patented Gyromax balance that adjusts for cold, heat, isochronism, and for five positions. It has a shock absorber, a 21K gold rotor, and a self-compensating flat balance spring. The case, movement, and dial are all signed; the leather band has a matching 18K white gold deployant clasp. The case, dial, and movement are all signed.
Patek Philippe designed this case after its famous Calatrava reference 96 from 1932. This model was first produced in 2006. The new annual calendar mechanism actually compensates for the various lengths of each month from March 1 to the end of February, necessitating only one adjustment a year. The Calatrava line continues - timeless with its round case, polished bezel, and distinctive style.
