More about Montblanc Reference No. MB113691

This is a stainless steel Jaeger LeCoultre Master Calendar, Q1558420. It has a leather strap with a stainless steel tang buckle, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. There is a push/pull crown, a sapphire display case back secured by 4 screws, and rectangular aperture windows for the day and the month underneath the 12. There is an outer concentric graduation ring for the date indicated by a central hand with a red crescent indicator tip, and a small seconds subsidiary dial with moon phases at the 6 o'clock position. The 39mm diameter three-body solid case, angled bezel, and downturned lugs are polished. The dial is silver with luminous steel dauphine hands, applied steel dart index markers, and applied Arabic numeral hour markers at the 3, 9, and 12 o'clock positions with luminescent dots. It's water resistant to 5o meters/165 feet, and it has a 43-hour power reserve at full wind. The 10.6mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. The automatic self-winding Jaeger LeCoultre caliber 866 movement is rhodium plated with fausses cotes embellishment. It's constructed with 32 jewels, 305 components, a single barrel, and a straight-line lever escapement. It includes a monometallic balance that's adjusted to six positions, a flat balance spring, a shock absorber mechanism, and hacking seconds. The movement oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph.

Jaeger LeCoultre began making round, automatic watches that were the forerunners to the Master Control line in 1946, and the first Master Control watches debuted in 1992, which were the first to be subjected to a six-week, 1000-hour series of tests that became the benchmark examination for all JLC timepieces.
