There is a solid screw-down caseback engraved with the Speedmaster Seahorse emblem in high relief, and "THE FIRST OMEGA IN SPACE - OCTOBER 3, 1962," in the center guilloche medallion, and "NUMBERED EDITION," and the edition number on the polished perimeter. It has a matte chromium nitride tachymeter scale on the brown polished ceramic bezel ring, and the 39.7mm diameter solid three-body case, slightly curved lugs, and flat bezel are polished/brushed. The dial is silver with a mix of "Alpha" and "Baton" designs hands including the center sweep chronograph second hand; they are all made of Sedna™ gold, with Super LumiNova inserts, and applied faceted Super LumiNova gold baton hour markers with luminous dot indices around a black reserve with a minute/one-fifth seconds chapter ring. There is a center sweep chronograph seconds hand, and an outer gold recessed ring. It has three recessed black subsidiary dials, including a running seconds indicator at 9 o'clock, a 12-hour register at 6 o'clock, and a 30-minute chronograph totalizer at the 3 o'clock position. It's water resistant to 50 meters/167 feet, and there is a 48-hour power reserve at full wind. The 14.9mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed.
