More about Clifton Small Seconds Automatic 18K Rose Gold/Steel

This is a stainless steel and 18k rose gold Baume & Mercier Clifton 10140. It has an integral two-tone 18k rose gold and steel bracelet with a Baume & Mercier triple folding deployment buckle, and a domed scratch resistant sapphire crystal with anti-glare coating. There is a pull out winding crown, and an exhibition sapphire display case back secured with 4 screws, and engraved around the polished perimeter with "CLIFTON – BAUME & MERCIER – GENEVE – 1830 – SWISS – 50 METER – STAINLESS," a serial and case number. The 41mm diameter solid two-body case, curved faceted lugs, and angled 18k rose gold bezel are polished/brushed. The dial is black with a sunray pattern, gilt dauphine hands, applied gilt Arabic numeral hour markers, and applied faceted gilt dart indices. It has a perimeter white minute scale with Arabic numerals every five minutes. There is a date aperture window at the 3 o'clock position, and a recessed black subsidiary dial for the running small seconds is at 6 o'clock. It has a 38-hour power reserve at full wind, and it's water resistant to 50 meters/165 feet. The 11.5mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Baume & Mercier Clifton 10140 has a mechanical automatic self-winding Baume & Mercier caliber BM 11260 movement. It's rhodium plated with an open worked oscillating weight adorned with "Côtes de Genève" embellishment, snailed décor, and a PHI symbol. It's constructed with 31 jewels, a shock absorber device, and a straight-line lever escapement, an index regulator, and a self-compensating balance spring. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4Hz). The Baume & Mercier Clifton 10140 was introduced at SIHH in 2014.
