This is a stainless steel Bvlgari Octo Bi Retro Automatic BGO43SCVDBR. It has a rubber composite strap with a triple steel deployment buckle, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coatings. It has a polished stainless steel beaded crown with a black ceramic cabochon, and an exhibition octagonal sapphire display case back secured with 8 pentagonal rivets, and engraved with "OBR.Y.1C – GG (FOR GERALD GENTA) – 10 ATM –STAINLESS STEEL CERAMIC," and a serial number. There is a corrector for the date function on the left-side case band at 9 o'clock. The 42.5mm x 48.5mm solid stainless steel case with beveled corners, faceted lugs, and black ceramic bezel with 7 polished steel rivets are polished/brushed. The dial is black with a silver inner segment with a concentric champlevé pattern, and white Arabic numerals. It has a trapezoidal hour aperture window at the 12 o'clock position; the jump hour hand "jumps" forward when the minute hand passes the 60-minute marker, and then springs back to the start. There is a luminous retrograde minute arc between 8 and 4 o'clock, with a polished skeletonized dagger steel hand. There is a luminous retrograde date arc at 12 o'clock, with a faceted steel dagger hand. It's water resistant to 100 meters/330 feet, and it has a 45-hour power reserve at full wind. The 12.35mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Bvlgari Octo Bi Retro Automatic BGO43SCVDBR has a mechanical automatic self-winding Bulgari Caliber GG7722 movement. It's decorated with perlage, anglage, and antique gold finishing. It's constructed with 35 jewels, a straight-line lever escapement, and a monometallic balance that's adjusted for heat, cold, and 5 positions. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz). The Bvlgari Octo Bi Retro Automatic BGO43SCVDBR was introduced at BaselWorld in 2010, and was designed and signed on the dial and rotor by Gerald Genta.
