More about Master Compressor Diving Alarm Navy Seals Titanium

This is a Grade-5 Titanium Jaeger LeCoultre Master Compressor Diving Alarm Navy Seals, Q183T470. It has a calfskin leather strap with a Titanium buckle, and a scratch resistant anti-reflective sapphire crystal. The 44mm diameter solid three-body case, fixed outer/unidirectional inner rotating Titanium/PVD ceramic bezel with 60-minute diving scale, and downturned lugs are polished/brushed. There is a solid Titanium case back with Navy SEALs inscriptions, and twin screw-down rubber-clad winding crowns with the patented JLC locking mechanism; a one-quarter turn is enough for the water-resistance system to reseal itself as hermetically as a submarine hatch. The black ceramic dial has luminescent dart hour index markers and luminous trapeze hands, including a center alarm/seconds hand. The alarm function is read on the inner rotating bezel with a distinctive red arrow-tip indicator. It's water resistant to 300 meters/1000 feet, and it has a 45-hour power reserve. The 16.2mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. The mechanical automatic self-winding Jaeger LeCoultre caliber 986 movement is rhodium plated with fausses cotes embellishment. It's constructed with 23 jewels, 268 components, and a shock absorber mechanism. It includes a straight-line lever escapement, a monometallic balance that's adjusted to temperature and 5 positions, a self-compensating flat balance spring, and a hacking seconds mechanism. The rotor oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz). In 1959, Jaeger-LeCoultre debuted its Memovox Deep Sea, the first diving watch to be fitted with an alarm, also made in a limited edition of 1500 pieces. Fifty years later the company commemorated the legendary timepiece with the reintroduction of this emblematic alarm diving instrument. Introduced in 2009 in a limited edition of 1500 examples, this watch meets all the requirements to satisfy the stringent standards of the Navy SEALS, with whom they were partnered on this model.
