This is a vintage c. 1960s stainless steel Breitling Navitimer reference 806. It has a shell cordovan strap with additional canvas NATO, a domed acrylic crystal, and round chronograph push-buttons. The 40mm diameter solid three-body case, revolving reeded slide rule bezel, lapidated downturned lugs, and solid case back are polished/brushed, and in excellent condition. The dial is black with silver sub dials, luminous hour indexes, and a luminous Arabic numeral "12". It has luminous Tritium baton hands, an arrow-tipped central chronograph hand, and outer graduations for the minutes, the tachymeter, the telemeter, and the slide-rule. There is a constant seconds subsidiary dial at the 9 o'clock position, a 12-hour sub dial at 6 o'clock, and a 30-minute dial at 3 o'clock. The 13mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. The mechanical manual winding Breitling caliber 178 movement is copper-coated, with a shock absorber mechanism. It's constructed with 17 jewels, a straight-line lever escapement, and a monometallic balance that's adjusted to temperature and 5 positions. It includes a self-compensating flat balance spring.
