This is a vintage c. 1950's 18K yellow gold Patek Philippe Calatrava, 2525J. It has a leather strap with an 18K gold tang buckle, and a domed crystal. The 36mm diameter solid three-body case, fluted lugs, solid Snap-on case back, and fixed stepped rounded bezel are polished. The dial is matte silver with applied 18K yellow gold lance hour indexes, gold dauphine hands, and an outer dot minute track. There is a subsidiary constant seconds "crosshair" dial at 6 o'clock. The 9mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. The mechanical manual winding Patek Philippe caliber 12-400 movement is rhodium-plated, with fausses cotes embellishment, and it's stamped with the Geneva Quality Hallmark. It's constructed with 18 jewels, a shock absorber mechanism, and a straight-line lever escapement. It includes a monometallic balance that's adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and to five positions. There is a self-compensating blued steel Breguet balance spring, and a swan neck micrometer regulator. The time only Calatrava was one of Patek Philippe's iconic watches in the 1950's, 60's, and 70's.
