This is a vintage c. 1950's 18K yellow gold Patek Philippe Square Case Tiffany Dial 1431. It has an alligator leather strap with a matching 18K yellow gold tang buckle, and a bombé acrylic crystal. There is a solid snap-on brushed case back and a push/pull winding crown. The 27mm by 27mm square solid two-body case, downturned tear drop lugs, and curved flat bezel are polished. The original silver dial has yellow gold applied faceted baton hour markers around a perimeter minute track, and gold baton hands. There is a subsidiary small running seconds dial at the 6 o'clock position, and the 8.5mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Patek Philippe Square Case Tiffany Dial 1431 has a mechanical manual winding Patek Philippe caliber 10-200 movement. It's rhodium-plated with fausses cotes embellishment, and it's constructed with 18 jewels, a straight-line lever escapement, and a monometallic balance. It has a self-compensating Breguet flat balance spring and a swan-neck micrometer regulator. The Patek Philippe Square Case Tiffany Dial 1431 is a post-war model that references the great tonneau-style art deco watches of the 1920's and 30's.
