This is a c. 1980's 18K yellow gold Audemars Piguet Quantieme Perpetual Calendar, reference 25657/002BA. It has an alligator leather strap with an 18k yellow gold Audemars Piguet tang buckle, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. There is a solid snap-on case back engraved with "Quantieme Perpetual Automatique," and the serial number. The 36mm diameter solid three-body case back, downturned lugs, and stepped bezel are polished. The dial is white with applied yellow gold baton hour markers, on a perimeter minute track. It has gold baton hands, and four subsidiary dials, including a day register at the 9 o'clock position, a moon phase dial at 6 o'clock, a date indicator at 3 o'clock, and month subsidiary dial at 12 o'clock. There are correctors in the band at 4, 8, and 10 o'clock for adjusting the date. It's water resistant to 30 meters/100 feet, and the 7.5mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Audemars Piguet Quantieme Perpetual Calendar, reference 25657/002BA, has a mechanical automatic self-winding Audemars Piguet caliber 2120 QP movement that's rhodium-plated, with fausses cotes embellishment. It's constructed with 36 jewels, a shock absorber device, and a straight-line lever escapement. It includes a monometallic balance that's adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism, and 5 positions. It has a self-compensating flat balance spring, and a 21K gold rotor segment.
