This is a vintage stainless steel IWC automatic Caliber 853 Pellaton. It has a gorgeous champagne honeycomb dial, a scratch resistant sapphire crystal, polished solid snap-on case back, and a push/pull winding crown. The 34mm diameter solid two-body case, and downturned lugs are polished. The dial has applied faceted "boat-shaped" baton hour markers, steel "alpha" hands, and a center sweep seconds hand. There is a perimeter silver dot minute/second track. The dial and movement are both signed. This IWC has an automatic caliber 853 movement that's nickel-plated, with fausses cotes embellishment. It's constructed with 21 jewels, an Incabloc shock absorber device, and a straight-line lever escapement. It includes a monometallic balance that's adjusted to 3 positions, a self-compensating blued steel Breguet balance spring, and an index regulator. The innovative Pellaton movement was developed by IWC.
