This is a stainless steel and black PVD Romain Jerome Moon Dust DNA MW.F1.11BB.00. It has a black rubber composite strap with a stainless steel double deployment clasp, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coatings. It has an oversized domed signed steel and rubber-strip screw down winding crown, and a solid case back secured with 10 screws, and engraved with "ROMAIN JEROME – MOON DUST DNA – 20 JULY 1969," and with the raised footprint on the moon in the center medallion. The 46mm diameter solid two-body case, carbon fiber and steel bezel with four raised domed “paws,” made with parts of Apollo 11, and straight screwed lugs, are polished/satin. The dial is a white/light blue hand-painted mineral structure containing actual moon dust, with steel skeletonized hands also inspired by the solar panels of spacecraft. There is a large crater at 9 o’clock for the running small constant seconds, with a moon-landing revolving target indicator. A raised Romain Jerome monogram is at the 12 o’clock position. It’s water resistant to 50 meters/165 feet, it has a 42-hour power reserve at full winding, and the 16.5mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Romain Jerome Moon Dust DNA MW.F1.11BB.00 has a mechanical automatic Romain Jerome Concepto caliber C22RJ51 movement. It’s rhodium plated, and it’s constructed with 23 jewels, an anti-shock system, a straight-line lever escapement, and a self-compensating flat balance spring. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz). The Romain Jerome Moon Dust DNA MW.F1.11BB.00 was introduced in 2014 in a limited edition of 1969 examples, referencing the year of the Apollo 11 flight.
