Vacheron & Constantin 7397 Tonneau Case, beautiful and rare stainless steel tonneau case on an alligator strap, the case is in excellent shape and appears to have never been polished, fine automatic caliber K1072/1, centered sweep seconds hand, silver dial with steel hands and applied markers, date at 3 o'clock, circa late 1960s, diameter: 34mm, thickness: 12mm, Excellent Condition and comes with European Watch Company Pouch and 6 Month Warranty. The watch was just completely serviced.

This is a vintage late 1960's stainless steel Vacheron & Constantin Tonneau Case 7397. It has an alligator leather strap with beautiful and rare stainless steel tonneau case on an alligator strap with a stainless steel tang buckle, and a domed acrylic crystal. It has a pull out winding crown, and a solid screw down case back, with an engine-turned inside, engraved with "VACHERON ET CONSTANTIN-SWISS-ACIER INOXYLABLE-7397," and two Vacheron Maltese Cross logos. The 35mm tonneau-shaped "Batman" two-body case, straight lugs, and flat bezel, are polished/brushed. It has a Satine silver "sunburst" dial, with applied faceted steel baton hour markers, steel baton hands, and a center sweep second hand. There is a perimeter minute/second scale, and there is a date aperture window at the 3 o'clock position with a Cyclops magnification lens. The 13mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Vacheron & Constantin Tonneau Case 7397 has a mechanical automatic self-winding Vacheron caliber K1072/1 movement. It's rhodium plated with fausses cotes embellishment, and it's stamped with the Seal of Geneva quality hallmark. It's constructed with 29 jewels, a shock absorber device, and a straight-line lever escapement. It includes a Gyromax beryllium balance with timing screws adjusted for heat, cold, isochronism and five positions, a Breguet balance spring, and a swan neck micrometer regulator. It has an 18K gold-edge rotor with ruby roller bearings and a guilloche texture.
