More about Vintage Seamaster 300 BIG TRIANGLE 1968

This is a vintage c. 1968 stainless steel Omega Seamaster 300 165.024. The watch is featured on a leather strap and has an acrylic crystal. There is a solid screw-down case back engraved with "Certified High Pressure Waterproof," the serial number, and the Seamaster emblem; inside the back are the Omega hallmarks and reference number. The 41mm diameter three-body solid case (made by Central Boites - or CB), integral lapidated lugs, bracelet, and revolving graduated bezel with luminous Tritium Arabic numeral decompression times are polished. The original dial is black with aged Tritium baton and trapezoidal hour markers, the "big triangle" at 12 o'clock, Arabic numerals at the quarter hours, a minute/second scale, luminous matching aged baton hands, and a Tritium centered sweep second hand with an arrow tip. The 12.5mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Patek Philippe 2526 has a mechanical automatic self-winding Omega caliber 550 movement that's copper-colored. It's constructed with 24 jewels, a straight-line lever escapement, and a shock absorber device. It includes a monometallic balance, a self-compensating flat balance-spring, and a micrometer regulator. The Patek Philippe 2526 was introduced in 1962, originally commissioned by the British Royal Navy for its divers.
