27963 Patek Philippe 3445/100 J Calatrava Automatic, 3445J 3445100, a limited edition of only 100 examples produced, the 18k yellow gold case is in outstanding original condition and has never been polished, the case has developed a charming warm / rose patina all over the case from likely being in the safe for many many years, the 3445/100 differs from traditional 3445s from mainly its sapphire crystal but it also has a thicker more robust case shown mostly in the bezel, the bevels on this example are incredibly sharp and are extremely charming, the hallmarks at the 9 o clock side of the case are bold and clear, beautiful Patek Philippe 27-460 caliber with 3 o clock date indicator, very rare silver dial with painted black roman numerals, sapphire crystal, caseback is engraved "presented to Lee C Carson by Arabian American Oil Company in appreciate of 30 years of service 1978" size 35mm, thickness 10mm, Outstanding Collector Condition for an important Patek Philippe reference with Patek Philippe box and Patek Philippe Extract.

This is a vintage c. 1979 18K rose gold Patek Philippe Calatrava Automatic 3445/100. It has an alligator leather strap with an 18K rose gold Patek Philippe tang buckle, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. It has a screw down winding crown, and a solid screw-down case back, engraved with "Presented to Lee C Carson by Arabian American Oil Company in appreciate of 30 years of service 1978." There is an inner dust cap stamped "PATEK-PHILIPPE – GENEVE – 3445/100," a serial number, and hallmarks, including two additional hallmarks on the left side of the case. At 9 o'clock. The 35mm diameter solid three-body case, stepped rounded bezel, straight lugs, and recessed winding crown have the originally polished patina. The original rare dial is silver sunburst, with black painted Roman numeral hour markers, and a perimeter minute track with gold pip minute divisions. It has pointed rose gold baton hands, and there is a square gold-rimmed date aperture window at the 3 o'clock position. It includes a subsidiary running small seconds dial with black markers and a gold indicator hand at 6 o'clock. It has a 38-hour power reserve at full winding, the 10mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed.

This Patek Philippe Calatrava Automatic 3445/100 has a mechanical self-winding automatic Patek Philippe Caliber 27-460M movement (the M indicates the additional date module). It's rhodium-plated, with fausses cotes embellishment, and it's constructed with 37 jewels, a straight-line lever escapement, and a patented Patek Philippe Gyromax balance that's adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and 5 positions. It includes a self-compensating free-sprung Breguet balance spring, a shock absorber mechanism, and an 18K gold rotor with cotes de Geneve embellishment, and engraved with the Calatrava symbol. It's stamped twice with the Seal of Geneva quality mark (once on the main plate, and once on the winding super bridge).
