More about Rolex 116719BLRO GMT Master II Blue / Red 18K White Gold

This is an 18K white gold Rolex GMT Master II "Pepsi", 116719BLRO. It has an integral 18K white gold Oyster three-link bracelet with a folding Oysterlock safety clasp, a scratch resistant sapphire crystal, and a protected Oyster Triplock winding crown. This movement has an easy-to-use second time zone that is enabled by setting the 24-hour hand independently from the normal hour hand. The 40mm diameter solid three-body case is polished and brushed, with a red and blue "Pepsi" cerachrom graduated and reeded bi-directional bezel, and a screw-down back. The bezel measures the second, 24-hour time zone with the red arrow-tipped center 24-hour hand. The dial is black with luminous baton, round, and triangular hour index markers, and luminous steel skeleton hands with the distinctive Rolex symbol on the hour hand. The date aperture is at 3 o'clock, with an Instantaneous date, and stop-seconds for precise time setting. The date has a magnified with a Cyclops lens bubble. It's water resistant to 100 meters/330 feet, and it's COSC certified (Certified Official Swiss chronometer). The 12mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed.

The automatic self-winding Rolex perpetual winding calibre 3186 movement is rhodium-plated with oeil de perdrix and fausses cotes embellishment. It's constructed with 31 jewels, a shock absorber mechanism, and a straight-line lever escapement. It has a monometallic balance adjusted to cold, heat, and 5 positions, and a self-compensating free-sprung blued steel Breguet balance spring. It is equipped with a Rolex blue Parachrom hairspring made from a paramagnetic alloy including zirconium and niobium. It's resistant to magnetic fields, and it has a shock absorber mechanism, Microstella regulating screws, and a hacking seconds mechanism.

The first GMT Master was introduced in 1955; this watch was produced in 2014.
