More about 1815 Black Dial 18K White Gold

This is an 18k white gold A. Lange & Sohne 1815 206.029. It has a leather strap and a matching IWC tang buckle. There is an exhibition sapphire display case back secured with 6 screws, and engraved along the rim with "A. LANDE & SOHNE – GLASHUTTE – SACHSEN," and a serial number with hallmarks. The 36mm diameter solid three-body case, flat, angled bezel, case, downturned lugs, and winding crown are all polished. The dial is black with luminous white painted Arabic numeral hour markers, and polished epee steel hands. There is an outside rail minute track, a scratch resistant sapphire crystal, and a sapphire exhibition case back that's secured by 6 screws. There is a small seconds sub dial at 6 o'clock, it's water resistant to 30 meters/100 feet, and it has a 55-hour power reserve at full wind. The 7.5 mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This A. Lange & Sohne 1815 206.029 has a manual winding A. Lange and Sohne caliber L 941.1 movement. It's rhodium-plated with fausses cotes embellishment. It's constructed with 21 jewels, a shock absorber mechanism, and several gold chatons. It has a straight-line lever escapement, a monometallic balance that's adjusted to 5 positions, and a self-compensating flat balance spring. It includes a swan neck micrometer regulator, and a hand-engraved balance bridge. It oscillates at a frequency of 21,600 vph. (3 Hz). The name of the 1815 line stands for the birth year of Ferdinand A. Lange, the pioneer of Germany's precision watchmaking industry in Glashütte.
