More about Master Memovox SS Boutique Edition BLUE Dial

This is a stainless steel Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Memovox, Q141848J. It has a composite strap with a stainless steel deployant buckle, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. The solid 40mm diameter two-body case, angled bezel, and downturned lugs are polished, and the alarm is controlled by the crown at 2 o'clock. There is a date window aperture at 3 o'clock, and the dial is blue with applied luminous hour markers. An inner track shows the alarm setting, and an outermost track has minute divisions. It includes luminescent silver baton hands and it has a power reserve of 45 hours at full wind. It's water resistant to 50 meters, and the 14mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. The automatic self-winding Jaeger Le Coultre caliber 956 movement is rhodium-plated with fausses côtes embellishment. It's constructed with 23 jewels, 268 components, and a shock absorber mechanism. It has a single barrel, a straight-line lever escapement, and a monometallic balance that's adjusted to 5 positions. There is a self-compensating flat balance spring, and the mechanism oscillates at 28,800 vph (4 Hz). In 1950 Jaeger LeCoultre produced their first hand-wound Memovox model with a unique striking mechanism called the “voice of memory,” which allowed the input of alarm schedules. In 1956, the company made history when it launched the first automatic Memovox with an alarm function. This boutique edition was only available at JLC boutiques, and was limited to 500 pieces.
