This is a stainless steel PVD-coated Bell & Ross Vintage WW2 Bomber Regulator BRW2-71-SP. It has a vintage-style suede strap with a matching PVD stainless steel horseshoe-shaped B&R tang buckle, and a slightly domed scratch resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment. It includes an onion-shaped "lefty" screw pull out signed winding crown at the 9 o'clock position to avoid gouging the wrist of the right hand, and there is a solid screw down case back engraved with "SWISS MADE – BRWW2 – AUTOMATIC – STAINLESS STEEL – WATER RESISTANT." The 47mm diameter solid two-body stainless steel case, curved screwed tubular lugs, and scalloped flat bidirectional bezel with a red triangle reference mark at 12 o'clock, are satin grey PVD-finished micro-blasted steel. The dial is black with non-radioactive Super-LumiNova luminous antique yellow-orange hands and a perimeter luminous antique sand-colored minute scale with stick baton hour indices, and an orange aviation triangle at the 60-minute position which is a timing device for bomber navigators. There are twin recessed subsidiary dials with sand-colored Arabic numerals, markers, and indicator hands, including a running constant small seconds dial at 12 o'clock, and a 12-hour dial at 6 o'clock. It's water resistant to 50m/165 feet, it has a 40-hour power reserve at full winding, and the 12.5mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Bell & Ross Vintage WW2 Bomber Regulator BRWW2-71-SP has a mechanical automatic self-winding modified Swiss ETA-Dubois Depraz Caliber BR-CAL.316 movement. It's constructed with 25 jewels, an anti-shock system, and there is a high precision adjustment in 4 positions. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz). It was inspired by the instruments used by bombers in the late 1930s and 1940s, the third timepiece of the Vintage collection called "war-pieces." The WWII bomber timers were designed to be strapped to a navigator or bombardier's leg. The winding crown was designed to be used with gloves for a specially trained crew member to determine when to drop a bomb.
