This is a platinum A. Lange & Sohne 1815 Automatik 303.025. The platinum case, curved lugs, and rounded bezel are polished. There is a sapphire crystal display case back and the black alligator leather strap has a matching platinum ardillon buckle. The dial is silver with black Arabic numeral hour markers, and blued steel hands. There is an outer track for minutes, and a small seconds sub dial is at 6 o'clock. It has a 46-hour power reserve, The automatic A.Lange Caliber L 991.2 SAX-O-MAT Movement has a bi-directional rotor, and a patented automatic zero-reset mechanism. It's water resistant to 30 meters, and the case, dial, and movement are all signed. The movement main plates are made of untreated German silver, which is a white alloy containing nickel, zinc and copper (and no silver). In the natural process of aging or patination, the yellow-gold patina protects the components from further oxidation. The 1815 AUTOMATIK is a hybrid of two A. Lange & Söhne horologic masterpieces: The 1815 watch and the precision of the SAX-0-MAT movement. This timepiece is dedicated to founder Adolph Lange who was born in the year 1815, hence the model name.
