This is a platinum F.P. Journe Chronometre Souverain. It has an alligator leather strap with an FP Journe platinum tang buckle, and scratch resistant sapphire crystals. It has a push/pull unidirectional winding crown with a "rope-design" middle ring. Using the crown, the date is set in position 2 by turning the crown in opposite directions, and position 3 is used for time setting. There is an exhibition sapphire display case back secured with 6 screws, engraved with "FP. JOURNE – PT 950 - INV. FECIT (invented and made) – OCTA AUTO," the reference number, and hallmarks. The 40mm diameter solid three-body case, curved downturned lugs, and convex bezel are polished. The dial is silver and blue mother-of-pearl guilloche with blue Arabic numeral hour markers, and there is a blue perimeter railway-style minute track. There is a date aperture window between 11 and 12 o'clock, and a blue 56 hour power reserve indicator arc is at 9 o'clock. There is a constant running small seconds register with a blue railway-style scale between 4 and 5 o'clock. It's water resistant to 30 meters/100 feet, and the 10.5mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This F.P. Journe Chronometre Souverain Nacre has a mechanical automatic self-winding FP. Journe caliber 1304 movement that's 18K gold with circular Cotes de Geneve stripes on the bridges, and partially circular grained baseplate. It's constructed with 22 jewels, 161 components, polished screw heads with chamfered slots, polished rounded pegs, and the steelwork has polished chamfers and straight graining. It includes an in-line lever escapement, a 15-tooth wheel balance with 4 inertia weights, and a flat Anachron micro-flamed spring. There is a free-sprung balance, a mobile stud holder, a slipping mainspring, a variable inertia balance wheel, and an off-center 22k gold winding rotor engraved with the F.P. Journe logo and motto, with guilloche texture. The optimized winding system uses ceramic balls, and the mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 21,600 vph (3Hz). The platinum F.P.
