This is a titanium FP Journe Elegante Quartz 40MM. It has a composite rubber strap with a folding titanium deployment buckle, and scratch resistant sapphire crystals. It has a pull-out signed winding crown, and an exhibition sapphire display case back secured with 4 screws engraved with "FP. JOURNE – ELEGANTE – INVENIT ET FECIT," and in the center gold Cotes De Geneve embellished medallion is "CALIBER 1210 – GENEVA MADE – FP JOURNE," a hallmark, and written on the lower right inside the distinctive gold design for the battery connection is "EXCLUSIVE AND PATENTED SYSTEM." The oscillating weight is visible through the tourbillon-like opening at 4 o'clock. The watch detects lack of movement and will "sleep" after 30 minutes of being inactive, and then it will catch up as soon as it's moved. The 40mm barrel-shaped tonneau, solid two-body case, straight rounded lugs, and deeply angled barrel-shaped bezel, are polished. The dial is a translucent luminous white, much like mother-of-pearl, but completely made of SuperLumiNova, with stylized black Arabic numeral hour markers around a black railway-style minute/second scale with square black hour indices. There is a white subsidiary dial for the running constant small seconds at the 6 o'clock position, with a Breguet-style blued indicator hand with a circular counterbalance. It has blued dauphine hour and minute hands, and it's water resistant to 30 meters/100 feet. The 3.13mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This FP Journe Elegante Quartz 40MM has an electromechanical quartz FP Journe caliber 1210 movement. It's constructed with dual rotors and a dedicated processor for supreme accuracy. The mechanism oscillates at 32,768 Hz, and the oscillating weight (visible through the sapphire crystal case back) is connected to a tiny weight at 4 o'clock on the dial that detects movement; it will "sleep" after 30-minutes of inactivity and then it will catch up after it's moved. The FP Journe Elegante Quartz 40MM was introduced in 2016.
