This is a stainless-steel Grand Seiko Spring Drive GMT SBGE227. It includes a stainless-steel case on a brown alligator leather strap with a folding push button deployment clasp, and scratch resistant anti-reflective sapphire crystals. It has a signed pull-out winding crown and an exhibition sapphire crystal display case back secured with 6 screws and engraved with “WATER RESISTANT 10BAR – STAINLESS STEEL - 9R66-OALO – MADE IN JAPAN,” hallmarks and a serial number. The 40.2mm diameter solid two-body case, curved lugs, and flat angled bezel, are polished/brushed. The dial is black sunray with applied faceted baton hour markers around a white railway-style hour and minute scale, and a white GMT second time zone with white Arabic numerals every 2-hours to 24. It includes a steel GMT indicator hand with an arrow tip. There are dauphine sword hour and minute hands and a steel sweep second hand. There is a steel-framed date aperture window at the 3 o’clock position and a white power reserve arch is at 8 o’clock with a red warning sector and a small dauphine steel indicator hand. It has a 72-hour power reserve at full winding, it’s water resistant to 100 meters, and the 14mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Grand Seiko Sport Collection Spring Drive GMT SBGE227G has a mechanical automatic self-winding Grand Seiko caliber 9R66 Spring Drive movement. It's rhodium plated with Cotes de Geneve embellishment and it's constructed with 30 jewels, 296 components, a shock absorber system, and the MEMS (Micro Electro-Mechanical System) adjusts the mainsprings to enhance the basic performance. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4Hz). The Grand Seiko Spring Drive GMT SBGE227G was introduced in 2017.
