More about Polaris Automatic Blue Dial SS / Bracelet
This is a stainless steel Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris Automatic Q9008480. It has a stainless steel bracelet, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. It has a screw down winding crown at 4 o'clock, an inner rotating timing bezel activated by the crown at 2 o'clock, and there is an exhibition sapphire display case back secured with 4 screws, and engraved with "JAEGER-LECOULTRE – 1000 HOURS CONTROL – SWISS MADE – 10 BAR," and a serial number. The 41mm diameter "oyster" shaped two-body solid case, gently curved lugs, and stepped rounded bezel, are polished/brushed. It has a two-tiered blue dial with a sunburst finish, luminous dart hour markers, luminous Arabic numerals at the quarter hours, recto steel pointed Bâton à facette luminous hands, and a center sweep seconds hand. The perimeter rotating inner bezel is blue with white luminous dots, Arabic numerals on the quarters, and a luminous white triangle at the 60-minute position. It has a 40-hour power reserve at full winding, and it's water resistant to 100 meters/330 feet. The 11.2mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris Automatic Q9008480 has a mechanical automatic self-winding Jaeger-LeCoultre caliber 898E/1 movement. It's rhodium plated with Cotes de Geneve embellishment, and it's constructed with 30 jewels, 195 components, blued screws, a single barrel, and a shock absorber device. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz). The Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris Automatic Q9008480 was introduced at SIHH in 2018 as part of the new Polaris collection, inspired by the original 1968 Polaris dive watch.
