More about Luminor Marina Manual Wind D Series (2002) 44MM

This is a stainless steel Panerai Luminor Marina, D Series PAM00001. It has a leather strap with a Panerai tang buckle, an additional rubber diving strap, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. The screwed-down case back is solid and engraved with the number of the edition of 3500 pieces. It includes the patented Panerai winding-crown with a security lever for winding the watch under water. The 44mm diameter solid three-body cushion-shaped case, straight lugs, and angled round bezel are polished/brushed. The dial is black with luminous Arabic numeral hour markers at 3, 6, and 12 o'clock, luminous baton hands, and luminous baton index markers. There is a small seconds subsidiary dial at 9 o'clock. It includes the Certified Official Swiss Chronometer (COSC) certification. It's water resistant to 300 meters/1000 feet, and it has a 41-hour power reserve at full wind. The 15mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. The mechanical manual-winding Panerai caliber OP II movement is rhodium-plated, with special Panerai embellishment. It's constructed with 17 jewels, and a shock absorber mechanism. It includes a straight-line lever escapement, a monometallic balance that's adjusted for temperature and 5 positions, and a self-compensating flat balance spring. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 2,600 vph (3 Hz).
