More about Golden Ellipse 3848 18k Yellow Gold Manual Wind

This is an 18K yellow gold Patek Philippe Golden Ellipse 3848. It has an alligator leather strap with an 18k gold tang buckle and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. It includes a fluted signed pull out winding crown and a solid snap down case back. The 27mm by 32mm ellipsoid solid case, integral ring lugs, and stepped convex bezel are polished. The dial is textured blue with applied faceted gold baton hour markers and gold stick baton hour and minute hands. It's water resistant to 30 meters/100 feet, it has a 44-hour power reserve at full winding, and the 6mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Patek Philippe Golden Ellipse 3848 has a mechanical manual winding Patek Philippe caliber 215 movement. It's rhodium plated with Cotes de Geneve embellishment, and the Patek Philippe Seal. It's constructed with 18 Jewels, 130 components, 5 bridges, a straight-line lever escapement, a free-sprung self-compensating flat balance spring, and a shock absorber device. It includes a micrometer regulator and a Gyromax monometallic balance that compensates for cold, heat, isochronism, and 5 positions. It has a Spiromax balance spring, and the mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4Hz). The Patek Philippe Ladies Golden Ellipse 3848 was first introduced in 1968. The simple elliptical design is based on the golden mean, a mathematical division of geometric form discovered over two thousand years ago, named the "divine proportion" expressed as a ratio of 1/1.6181 by the Greeks.
