This is a rare vintage 1969 stainless Patek Philippe Calatrava 3509. It has an alligator leather strap with a stainless-steel tang buckle and a domed acrylic crystal. It has a signed pull-out winding crown and a screw down solid case back. The 33mm diameter solid round two-body case, straight angled "bar" lugs, and flat angled bezel, are polished/brushed. The original dial is brushed silver with applied faceted steel baton hour markers and pointed baton steel hour and minute hands. The 7mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Patek Philippe Calatrava 3509 has a mechanical manual winding Patek Philippe caliber 23-300 movement. It's rhodium plated with Cotes de Geneve embellishment and It's stamped with the Geneva Quality Hallmark. It's constructed with 18 jewels, a shock absorber device, and a straight-line lever escapement. It' includes a monometallic Gyromax balance that's adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and 5 positions, a self-compensating free-sprung Breguet balance-spring, and the mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 19,800 vph (2.75 Hz). The Patek Philippe Calatrava 3509 was introduced in the 1960's.
