More about Calatrava 6000G Blue Dial 18K White Gold / Deployant

This is an 18K white gold Patek Philippe 6000G Calatrava, 6000G-012. It has a leather strap with a matching 18K white gold deployant buckle, and a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. The 37mm diameter solid three-body case, slightly downturned lugs, and curved bezel are polished. It has an inner minute track, and a screwed down transparent sapphire display case back. The dial is blue with white Arabic numeral hour markers, luminescent white painted baton hands, and an outer track with the calendar date and a red crescent-shaped indicator hand. There is a subsidiary small seconds dial at the 5 o'clock position, and it's water resistant to 30 meters (100 feet). It has a power reserve from 38 to 48 hours at full wind, and the 9mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. The automatic self-winding Patek Philippe caliber 240 PS movement is rhodium-plated, with fausses cotes embellishment. It's constructed with 27 jewels, 191 components, and eight bridges. It has the Patek Philippe seal of quality, a straight-line lever escapement, and a shock absorber mechanism. There is a free-sprung Gyromax balance that's adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and 5 positions, a self-compensating flat balance spring, and an off-center 22K gold micro-rotor. The mechanism oscillates at 21,600 vph (3 Hz). In 1932, Patek Philippe debuted the first model of their new, signature line – the Calatrava, the hybrid of an avant-garde aesthetic with a touch of Bauhaus simplicity. They chose the name Calatrava from the legend of a Spanish religious order that defended the Calatrava Citadel against the invasion of the Moors in the middle ages.
