This is a c. 1979 Rolex Submariner Mark II "Lollipop" Maxi Dial 5513. It has a Rolex 3-link stainless-steel 93150 Oyster bracelet with 580 end links with a folding deployment clasp and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. It includes a screw down Triplock winding crown with crown protectors and a snap down solid steel case back engraved inside with "MONTRES ROLEX S.A. – GENEVA – SWITZERLAND – PATENTED – STAINLESS STEEL." The 40mm diameter solid three-body monobloc case, curved lugs, and graduated knurled bi-directional rotating black bezel with decompression times marked in luminous Arabic numerals, are polished/brushed. The dial is black with luminescent round, triangular, and baton hour index markers, a white perimeter minute track, "Mercedes" style Rolex hour and minute hands with luminous inserts, and a center sweep seconds hand with a round luminous "Lollipop" indicator. The lumes on the markers and hands are all of an equal creamy patina. It's water resistant to 200 meters/660 feet, and the 14.5mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Rolex Submariner Mark II "Lollipop" Maxi Dial 5513 has a mechanical automatic self-winding Rolex caliber 1520 movement that's rhodium-plated, and constructed with 26 jewels, and a shock absorber device. It includes a straight-line lever escapement, a monometallic balance that's adjusted for temperature and 5 positions. There is a self-compensating flat balance spring, and a central hacking seconds mechanism. The movement oscillates at a frequency of 18,000 vph (2.5 Hz).
