This is a stainless steel Project X Designs DS8 Rolex Cosmograph Daytona 116520, limited edition of 28 total pieces. It has an integral Oysterlock bracelet with a stainless steel easylink clasp, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. The 40mm diameter solid three-body case, bracelet, screwed-down case-back engraved with the Project X logo, "DS8", and a serial number, round chronograph buttons, and the patented Rolex triplock winding-crown are polished/brushed. The black bakelite bezel has a tachymeter graduation scale up to 200 units per hour . The custom "Paul-Newman" style white dial has applied white gold lozenge-shaped hour index markers and luminous baton hands with vintage patina added to both, and a 1/5 second division outer track. There is a 12-hour register at 9 o'clock, a 30-minute dial at 3 o'clock, and a running seconds sub dial at 6. The watch is water resistant to 100 meters/330 feet, and the 12mm case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Project X Designs DS8 Rolex Cosmograph Daytona 116520 has a mechanical automatic self-winding Rolex Caliber 4130 movement. It's rhodium-plated, and it's constructed with 44 jewels, a shock absorber mechanism, and a straight-line lever escapement. It has a monometallic balance adjusted heat, cold, and 6 positions. Included is a self-compensating free-sprung Breguet balance spring, a hacking seconds mechanism, and microstella regulating screws. The Project X Designs DS8 Rolex Cosmograph Daytona 116520 was introduced in 2015 as a tribute to the legendary Paul Newman Daytona references 6263 and 6265.
