This is a stainless steel Vacheron & Constantin Overseas Chronograph 49140/423A-8790. It has an integral stainless steel bracelet with a double deployant safety clasp, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. It has a solid screw-down case back with a high relief engraving of the Overseas windjammer logo secured with 8 screws, and a screw-down triple gasket and case-protected winding crown and chronograph buttons. The 40mm diameter solid three-body case, integral lugs, bracelet, and stylized rounded bezel with flanges fashioned after the Vacheron logo (the Maltese cross) are polished/brushed. The dial is textured engine turned silver with luminous steel baton hands and faceted applied luminous steel baton and triangular hour index markers. It has an outer minute/second track and a center chronograph hand. There is a large date aperture window at the 12 o'clock position, and subsidiary guilloche dials for the seconds at 6 o'clock, a12 hour register at 9 o'clock, and a 30-minute sub dial at 3 o'clock. It's water resistant to 150 meters/500 feet, and it has a 30-hour power reserve at full wind. The movement is anti-magnetic. The 12mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Vacheron & Constantin Overseas Chronograph 49140/423A-8790 has a mechanical automatic self-winding Vacheron & Constantin caliber 1137 movement that's rhodium-plated, with fausses cotes and Cotes de Geneve embellishment. It's constructed with 37 jewels, a straight-line lever escapement, and a shock absorber mechanism. It includes a monometallic balance that's adjusted to temperature and 5 positions, a self-compensating flat balance-spring, an index regulator, and an 18K yellow gold rotor. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 21,600 vph (3 Hz).
