More about De Ville Co-Axial Limited 18K White Gold

This is an 18K white gold Omega De Ville Co-Axial, 5941.31.31. It has a leather strap with an 18K white gold deployant buckle, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. The 38mm diameter solid three-body case, fluted downturned lugs, and solid screw-on case back engraved with the De Ville logo, stepped rounded bezel, are polished. The "pie pan" faceted dial is silver with applied white gold Roman numeral quarter-hour markers, luminous faceted indexes, an outer railway style minute track, a centered sweep seconds hand, and 18K white gold feuille hands with luminescent inserts. There is a rectangular date aperture at the 3 o'clock position, and it's water resistant to 100 meters/330 feet. It is a certified Official Swiss Chronometer (COSC), and the 9mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. The mechanical automatic self-winding Omega caliber 2500 movement is rhodium-plated, with fausses côtes and oeil-de-perdrix embellishment. It has the Omega co-axial escapement, and a free-sprung monometallic balance that's adjusted to temperatures and 5 positions with two regulating micro-screws. It includes a shock absorber mechanism, and a self-compensating flat balance spring. This is a very first edition of the caliber 2500 movement with the English watchmaker George Daniel`s co-axial escapement. The series was first introduced in 1999 in a limited edition of 999 examples.
