This is a vintage c. 1940's Patek Philippe Tank 1892. It has an Ostrich leather strap with a stainless steel Patek Philippe tang buckle, and a curved acrylic crystal. It has a pull out winding crown, and a solid polished case back, the inside of which is engine turned and engraved with "ACIER INOX – STAYBRITE – 1892." The 22mm by 44mm (including lugs) solid curved two-body rectangular art deco case, curved lugs, and curved rounded bezel are polished. The dial is silver with applied steel Arabic numeral hour markers at 2, 4, 8, 10, and 12 o'clock, and applied steel dot indices, and a perimeter minute scale. It has blued dauphine hands, and there is a circular subsidiary small running seconds dial at the 6 o'clock position. The 8.5mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Patek Philippe Tank 1892 has a mechanical manual winding Patek Philippe caliber 9-90a movement. It has rhodium plating with fausses côtes embellishment, and the Patek Philippe signature. It's constructed with 18 jewels, a shock absorber device, and a straight-line lever escapement. It includes a cut bimetallic balance that's adjusted to 3 levels of heat, cold, isochronism, and 5 positions, a self-compensating Breguet balance-spring, and a micrometer regulator.
