More about Patek Philippe 5054J-001 Power Reserve Moonphase 18K Yellow Gold
This is an 18K yellow gold Patek Philippe Power Reserve Moon, 5054J-001. It has an alligator leather strap with a matching 18k yellow gold buckle, and a scratch resistant domed sapphire crystal. It has a half hunter case back that snaps onto the domed exhibition sapphire display crystal covering the movement. The 36mm diameter solid three-body case, rounded bezel, straight lugs, and gold screwed bars and hinged outer case back are polished. The dial is white with painted black radial Roman numeral hour and baton markers, black oxidized gold spade hands, and a railway-style outer minute track. There is a subsidiary dial for the constant small seconds between 4 and 5 o'clock, and an aperture for the moon phases and date is at 7 o'clock. There is an up-and-down 48-hour power reserve sector between 10 and 11 o'clock. It's water resistant to 25 meters/80 feet, and the 9.5mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed.
The mechanical automatic self-winding Patek Philippe caliber 240/164 movement is stamped with the Patek Philippe seal. It's rhodium-plated, with fausses cotes embellishment. It's constructed with 29 jewels, and a shock absorber mechanism. It includes a straight-line lever escapement, a patented Patek Philippe Gyromax balance that's adjusted for heat, cold, isochronism, and 5 positions. It has a self-compensating free-sprung flat balance spring, and a 22K gold micro-rotor.
