More about Reserve de Marche Steel

This is a stainless steel Jaeger LeCoultre Master Reserve de Marche, 148.84.04. It has an alligator leather strap with a stainless steel deployment buckle, and a scratch resistant coated sapphire crystal. There is an exhibition sapphire display case back secured with 4 screws. The 37mm diameter solid three-body case, angled bezel, and downturned lugs are polished. The dial is silver with applied steel dart indexes and luminous dot hour markers, with an Arabic numeral at 9 and 12 o'clock. It has polished steel luminous dauphine hands and an outer minute track. There is a fan-shaped 45-hour power reserve indicator at 10 o'clock, and a subsidiary round date dial at 2 o'clock. A small constant seconds dial is at 6 o'clock; all the hands of the subsidiary dials are blued. It's water resistant to 30 meters/100 feet, and the 9mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. The mechanical automatic self-winding JLC in-house caliber 928/2 movement is rhodium-plated, with fausses cotes embellishment. It's constructed with 41 jewels, a shock absorber mechanism, and a straight-line lever escapement. It includes a monometallic balance that's adjusted to 6 positions, a self-compensating flat balance spring, and a micrometer regulator. It has a 22K gold sector rotor and oscillating weight, and the mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz). This watch was tested for 1000 hours in various positions and temperatures; it has the "Master Control 1000 Hour" stamping on the rotor.
